Line 6 V70 System is a professional level wireless system that operates in the 2.4 GHz
range. You say "Well why is that important?"
Well with all of the devices that are coming out in the broadcast range
you've got more television stations, you've got the new Internet devices,
you've got radios for police and homeland security, the regular frequency band that we've
all been using has become very crowded.
So what Line 6 did is they said "We'll go up to the 2.4 GHz band.
That band is license-free, and then we're going to package a digital wireless system
for great CD-quality sound. And put in a couple of receivers
and do frequency hopping." Well, what does all that mean? That means
this thing jumps around in the 2.4 GHz band, finds open frequencies and
if there's interference it just moves to the next one.
You can't even hear the transition. It's very very quick, less than a millisecond.
So, the 2.4 GHz feature on this gives it the ability to operate anywhere without
frequency coordination. So you don't have to worry about what else is
going on in the RF spectrum. That makes it a great portable system as well.
But this system is designed for installation and fixed venues as well.
Because it's a professional level system that has all of the accessories you might expect.
It's got the antenna accessories. You've got the long-range antennas.
You've got remote mounted antennas that you can do.
It's built with very high quality. This is a metal case, not a plastic case.
It's a metal case with all the mounting accessories. So you have your rack mounts
and everything you need to install it into a rack.
And they've come out with a nice, very low profile, headphone type of a system,
that plugs right in. So if you're looking for....and it's a 12-channel system...
So if you're looking for a professional-quality system, digital CD-quality sound,
that you don't have to worry about any frequency coordination or any
interference, then take a look at the Line 6 V70 System.
